Acts 2:14

Acts 12:17
BSB: Peter motioned with his hand for silence, and he described how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. “Send word to James and to the brothers,” he said, and he left for another place.
NIV: Peter motioned with his hand for them to be quiet and described how the Lord had brought him out of prison. “Tell James and the other brothers and sisters about this,” he said, and then he left for another place.

Acts 13:19
BSB: And having vanquished seven nations in Canaan, He gave their land to His people as an inheritance.
NIV: and he overthrew seven nations in Canaan, giving their land to his people as their inheritance.
ESV: And after destroying seven nations in the land of Canaan, he gave them their land as an inheritance.


Acts 14:15
BSB: “Men, why are you doing this? We too are only men, human like you. We are bringing you good news that you should turn from these worthless things to the Living God, who made heaven and earth and sea and everything in them.

Acts 16:38
BSB: So the officers relayed this message to the magistrates, who were alarmed to hear that Paul and Silas were Roman citizens.
NIV: The officers reported this to the magistrates, and when they heard that Paul and Silas were Roman citizens, they were alarmed.
ESV: The police reported these words to the magistrates, and they were afraid when they heard that they were Roman citizens.


Acts 18:27
BSB: When Apollos resolved to cross over to Achaia, the brothers encouraged him and wrote to the disciples there to welcome him. On his arrival, he greatly aided those who by grace had believed.
NIV: When Apollos wanted to go to Achaia, the brothers and sisters encouraged him and wrote to the disciples there to welcome him. When he arrived, he was a great help to those who by grace had believed.
ESV: And when he wished to cross to Achaia, the brothers encouraged him and wrote to the disciples to welcome him. When he arrived, he greatly helped those who through grace had believed,


Acts 19:40
BSB: For we are in jeopardy of being charged with rioting for today's events, and we have no justification to account for this commotion.”
NIV: As it is, we are in danger of being charged with rioting because of what happened today. In that case we would not be able to account for this commotion, since there is no reason for it.”
ESV: For we really are in danger of being charged with rioting today, since there is no cause that we can give to justify this commotion.”


Acts 24:14
BSB: I do confess to you, however, that I worship the God of our fathers according to the Way, which they call a sect. I believe everything that is laid down by the Law and written in the Prophets,
NIV: However, I admit that I worship the God of our ancestors as a follower of the Way, which they call a sect. I believe everything that is in accordance with the Law and that is written in the Prophets,

Acts 26:11
BSB: I frequently had them punished in the synagogues and tried to make them blaspheme. In my raging fury against them, I even went to foreign cities to persecute them.
NIV: Many a time I went from one synagogue to another to have them punished, and I tried to force them to blaspheme. I was so obsessed with persecuting them that I even hunted them down in foreign cities.
