July Letter to the Friends of the World Bible Quiz Association

This letter was recently sent to Friends of the World Bible Quiz Association. It focuses on the dream of holding WBQA Finals once again, after a four year hiatus. It is a big goal, and we know that we won't be able to do it alone.
Help Us Launch a Dream: The 2016 World Bible Quiz Finals
From 1974 until 2010, the World Bible Quiz Association successfully sponsored the annual “World Championship of Bible Quizzing.” These years were filled with wonderful results. Scores of top quality young people from around the country were able to interact with those of various denominations, realizing that even with some differences all were fully committed and grounded in their faith in Jesus Christ. Encouragement filled the air as young people realized that God raised up a host of “Word filled” young people who had to deal with the same life challenges they faced.
“The mission of the World Bible Quiz Association is to encourage the study of scripture and the development of faith in Christ through Bible Quizzing. WBQA shall accomplish this end by facilitating interdenominational quizzing and supporting and encouraging the development of local Bible Quizzing.”
TO ACCOMPLISH THIS MISSION OF RE-STARTING THE “WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP OF BIBLE QUIZZING,” WBQA NEEDS GIFTS THAT WILL TOTAL $10,000.
Many of you receiving this letter benefited from attending the “World Finals” in the past. Without much effort, your mind wanders back to those special days and to other regional tournaments, that significantly marked your teen years and grounded you in the knowledge of God’s Word and your walk with Jesus Christ. You probably remember ………. great competition, meeting new life-long friends, staying up late even though your coach told you to get plenty of sleep, cheering for those winning teams, encouraging the discouraged, praying together with your team and with other teams, enjoying the recreation times, and the sad feeling you experienced when you had to leave and head home.
This “dream” really lies in your hands. WBQA has no other means of support other than the kind gifts of people like you. Will you help make this dream come true?
