Berrien, MI and Rochester, NY Win WBQA Finals

Welcome back to our annual newsletter! Memories of last summer's World Finals may have faded, but God's word that was hidden in so many hearts continues to produce a harvest. We are grateful for the quizzing knowledge and Christian fellowship that were displayed, as well as for the message given by Marilyn Laslo. Her testimony was a wonderful story of commitment, persistence and sacrifice for God's work-and showed us how exciting a life lived in His service can be! We owe special thanks to Brent Eckerley who introduced his scoreboard. This was the very first time that this equipment was used in competition, and everything worked perfectly.

The quizzing also was excellent! Congrats to the 2003 championship teams: NIV Winners: Berrien (pictured above, Matt Cooke, Katie Clore, Theresa Bomer, Sarah Cabe) and KJV: Rochester (at left, Rachel Walsh, Lauryn Walsh, David Gilette, Darrel Stevenson, Michael Collier). David Ross from Detroit was presented the Top Quizzer award and Rachel Walsh from Rochester earned Top Individual honors in KJV. Matt Cooke received the Larimore Award for excellence in leadership, quizzing and Christian testimony. Be sure to make plans to attend this summer, June 23 - 26 at Cedarville University.

WBQA Launches New Site

This season at least 20,000 young people across the country are learning Hebrews and 1 and 2 Peter through their local Bible Quizzing teams! The mission of Quiz Connection is to promote all styles of Bible Quizzing. Our goal is that anybody seeking to join or start a Bible Quizzing team will find a local league or contact person. Although quiz.cc couldn't be easier to find, the site is thoroughly linked with wbqa.org. Just click on the site link at the upper right to toggle between the two! Find updated listings of tournaments, leagues, contacts, resources and quiz equipment, as well as our free forums.

Use this new site to help promote or link to your local quizzing program. You can easily add your league, event and contact listings for free. This is a wonderful opportunity to promote your events and find others in your area. Try a search for Bible Quizzing with your city or state-most likely a Quiz Connection page will come up, making it a great place for people to find you! List your tournament or league by filling out our easy form, and this same one-step form allows you to add yourself to our list of over 100 local contact persons.
