01-16-02 71 Teams Attend GL

We are grateful for the wonderful turnout and quizzing at the Great Lakes, the first of this year's WBQA regional events. This turnout was a record for any WBQA event and was matched by the level of excellence in quizzing, excitement and fellowship. Congratulations to all teams, including our divisional champions: DBQ Resounding Gongs (Varsity); DBQ Leap of Faith (JV); New Creation (LL); CLC Battlers (KJV Majors) and Red Tail Hawks (KJV Minors). You are invited to any of our upcoming events. Details are available on page 2 and online.

01-16-02 Local Contacts Added

WBQA's goal is that anybody looking to start a quiz team or join a league will find support in their local area. As a first step we initiated the local contact lists in September and we have had a great initial response, with over 50 local contact persons already registered. This is a wonderful beginning, but there are still many states and localities for which there is no local support person. Please prayerfully consider adding your name to this list. The only requirement is your willingness to answer questions from anyone near you wanting to start a team or join with you. League and event listings are also available. Be sure your local league is included as well.
